WOCA | BUTCHER BLOCK CLEAN & CARE BUNDLE

A complete butcher block / countertop care bundle with everything you need to prepare, oil, polish and maintain your wood surface for a natural, long-lasting finish.

The bundle includes:

• 1 x 750ml WORKTOP OIL
• 1 X 750ml INTENSIVE WOOD CLEANER SPRAY
• 1 X 750ml NATURAL SOAP SPRAY
• 1 X HAND SCRUBBER
• 1 X POLISHING CLOTH

Application Instructions:

1. Sand the timber surface with 180 grit sandpaper, then vacuum thoroughly to remove all sanding dust.
2. Prepare the surface with WOCA Intensive Wood Cleaner Spray. This is an important preparation step. It deep-cleans the timber, helps open the wood pores and neutralises surface tannins. Spray the cleaner evenly over the surface, then wipe down with clean water. Allow the timber to dry for at least 8 hours before applying the oil.
3. Stir the oil thoroughly before and during use. Apply the oil evenly using a paintbrush.
4. Allow the oil to penetrate into the timber for approximately 20–30 minutes at a minimum  of 20°C (room temperature).
5. Buff the surface with a polishing pad to work the oil into the timber.
6. Remove all excess oil with a polishing cloth. Do not leave any excess oil sitting on the surface.

Highly Absorbent Timber

On highly absorbent timber, a second oil treatment may be required. After applying the second coat, wet-sand directly in the oil using 280–400 grit sandpaper. Allow the oil to penetrate for approximately 20–30 minutes, then thoroughly wipe away all excess oil with a polishing cloth.

Drying Time

The surface will be sufficiently hardened for light use after approximately 24 hours at 20°C. Use the surface with care during the full curing period of approximately 7 days.

Ongoing Maintenance

After the 7-day curing period, clean and maintain the timber regularly with WOCA Natural Soap Spray to help keep the surface clean, nourished and conditioned.
